The Community of Municipalities plays a leading role in the Saint-Lô region. It represents 40 % of the population and 59 % of jobs. This strong position was reinforced in 2005 with the labelling of two national competitiveness clusters on its territory, which reinforces its sectors of excellence and attractiveness.

The technology park project, Agglo 21
Imagining the area in 20 years and anticipating the social and economic changes in order to aspire to a demographic balance, these are the objectives of the Territorial Coherence Scheme (SCoT) approved unanimously by the Saint-Lô region’s Communities of Municipalities in February 2008.
